Our shop in Grangetown is probably our biggest source of funding, and the money raised helps pay for the much needed care of our animals until they can be rehomed.
You can help by buying from the shop, or by donating items that we can sell on. Or if you have some spare time and would like to give us a helping hand, contact Susan or Sandra on 0191 564 1812 to discuss becoming a volunteer assistant!
Spreading the word about the work we do at Animal Krackers is a great way to broaden our reach and increase our chances of finding homes for our animals.
Tell your friends about us, join our Facebook page, and keep visiting the website for regular updates and news. And if you have the opportunity to do a spot of fund raising on our behalf, it would be very welcome!
Donations from the public are how we keep going, but it doesn’t always have to be cash. Food, bedding and toys for our dogs, cats and small furries are always welcomed.
These items can be taken to our shop in Grangetown, or to our cattery at Ferry Farm, and we also have food collection bins in the Asda, Morrisons and Sainsburys stores in Sunderland.
Our fosterers do an amazing job. Some of our animals need a little extra care and attention while they’re with us and fostering can be really beneficial. We also consider long term fostering arrangements, where we’ll continue to help with medical costs and sometimes food.
The aim of Animal Krackers is to find permanent, loving homes for all our animals. Whilst in our care, we will ensure they’re warm, well fed and looked after, but ultimately what we want is to find them somewhere they can feel safe and loved for the rest of their lives.
