Toby is very special – he came to us having lost his owner. He’d been taken in by the owners family but they had other pets already and poor Toby just couldn’t cope with all the changes. He was very shut down and we wondered if he’d ever feel safe again.
However he has been in foster care for a few months now and is really starting to make progress. He loves his toys, and is slowly starting to seek out human attention and company. He’s decided that humans on sofas can be a good thing to sleep next too and he’s even started to feel comfortable enough to be in a room with strangers.
The right home for Toby would have to be a quiet household, with no pets and no children. He’s never shown any aggression, he’s just a very scared boy and easily spooked by noises and new people. He may never be a lap cat, but his funny little character is impossible not to love when he lets it out.
He has a long way to go and will no doubt take a very long time to settle into any new home, but we know he’s worth it!
