Two wonderful, relaxed greyhounds. Really “melt in your mouth dogs”. Very gentle, absolutely no aggression, suitable in any household (where there are no cats, I think).
The black and white greyhound, Murphy, has been adopted. Paddy, the black dog, is equally adorable and wags his tail a lot. Murphy is house trained. I am confident Paddy will be too. His kennel invariably is clean and that is a very good sign.
Neither dog shows any reaction to other dogs when they run past, including little dogs. I think they were failures as racing dogs; too lazy or incompetent to pursue the mechanical hare, I have been told. Just love just to lol around in front of a fire. They are two to three years old, I think but their past record is incomplete. They can be aged by examining their teeth, which are good. Paddy is the black dog Murphy is black and white. In the paddock Murphy just follows you around. Off the leader I think there would be no problem when exercised. Paddy certainly recognised the author of these notes when I took him for a walk.
