Animal Krackers is an animal rescue and rehoming charity for cats, dogs and other animals, based in Sunderland. Established in 2002, we have a small team of unpaid volunteers who help to find loving homes for animals in the area.
We rely solely on charitable donations, income from our charity shop in Grangetown, and assistance from our small group of volunteers to help as many animals as possible.

If you’re considering adopting, fostering, or volunteering in any way, please read our guides for more information.
To safeguard the animals in our care we require proof of identification: 1 x photo ID (passport/driving licence etc) and 2 x proof of address (ie utility bills). If you do not have photo ID then please provide a bank statement and bank card. Please bring this along when you visit our animals, documents will be checked and returned, no copies will be taken. Failure to bring this identification will result in us refusing access to our animals.
